Sunday Morning Service - April 13, 2025 - “The King’s Arrival in Jerusalem”
On that first “Palm Sunday,” there were a number of Jesus’ followers who saw Him riding into Jerusalem on a donkey, and they rightly welcomed Him and worshiped Him as the Messiah. And by entering Jerusalem in this way, Jesus validated their response, and He deliberately revealed Himself as the sovereign King, who had come to Jerusalem to lay down His life for our sin; the rightful King, who had come in fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy; and the compassionate King, who is willing to lay down His life to save those of us who once were His enemies.
