What a wonderful act of providence that during this season we come to one of the high points of Scripture – love (agape) endures eternally. Why? Because, as John tells us, “GOD is Love.” (1John 4:16) “For GOD so Loved...” captures the motive behind what we observe during this season – GOD sent His Son (Galatians 4:4-5).

“Time” is an important distinction between gifts and virtues. Paul speaks of three gifts in this chapter and then three virtues which remain forever, and the greatest of these is love. Pursue Love!
