Sunday Morning Service - October 20, 2024 - “Accurately Handling the Word of GOD”
So far, as we have journeyed through 1 Corinthians, we have encountered some difficult passages--that is, difficult in understanding their meaning “then” and “now.” One example of this would be 1 Corinthians 6 in which talked about “the Christian and the courts.” At chapter 11, we will begin to encounter these texts in quick succession, including the passage with which we begin today on “head-coverings” in worship.
For this reason, I would like to take this particular passage as a teachable moment in reading our Bibles. How do we accurately handle sacred Scriptures? This is the purpose of this message.
